Coach Joel Eskelsen Comments:

Great way to end the season at home with a win and an uplifting play as we enter play-offs. Tribute to a good bunch of seniors all of whom played very well. Punchers now enter the play-offs against Newcastle. Times are yet to be determined.

Kudos to the offensive line of Redden, Josh Eiden, Greg Eiden, Parks, Wilson and Moceika for opening gaps for our running backs. Linn and Greenwood had great games picking up 161 and 144 yards respectively with each scoring two TDs. Mike Forrester also preformed well as a lead back on many of these runs. Moffat had a career day throwing, hitting 6 of 7 tosses for 82 yds.

Defensively, everyone played well with just a few lapses on pass defense late in the game. Moffat registered 3 pass interceptions. Drew Guenthner added a 4th pick. Moffat and Redden led the defensive points both with 20 points.

Play-off picture has cleaned up. Big Piney (4-4) will travel to Newcastle for the first round game. More details will be available by week’s end.

Great job, Punchers and thanks to those seniors for keeping the Puncher tradition intact.
